How orders are prepared for dispatch
Once an order is confirmed, our team checks stock, confirms the correct size or specification, and prepares the items for packing. For CNC tooling, collets, holders, vises, jaws, scanner parts, and 3D printing equipment, that check matters because the wrong fit can stop production for a day or more.
Orders leave from our Struandale base in Gqeberha. If an item needs a final inspection, cleaning, presetting, or runout check before it goes out, we handle that first so the product arrives ready for work. We keep the process practical and we will tell you if a lead time changes due to stock, supplier timing, or courier cut-off hours.
- Stock is verified before packing
- Critical tooling can be checked and cleaned before dispatch
- Tracking details are shared once the courier booking is confirmed
Courier delivery across South Africa
We arrange courier delivery to most towns and industrial areas in South Africa, including major centres and smaller manufacturing hubs. Delivery times depend on destination, freight size, service level, and whether the order is heading to a metro, inland town, or a remote area. For example, a small parcel to Johannesburg will move differently to a bulky workholding system going to a plant near Richards Bay or Upington.
Because machine shops often plan around urgent jobs, we try to match the courier service to the load and the production deadline. If there are special instructions for receiving goods, such as gate access, fork lift offloading, or site sign-in requirements, please send them when ordering. That saves delays at the receiving end.
- Same day dispatch may be possible for in-stock items collected early enough
- Courier transit depends on destination and service chosen
- Bulky or fragile items may need extra packing or crate support
Collection from Struandale and local delivery support
Customers in Struandale, Markman, Coega, Kariega, Despatch and the Port Elizabeth CBD often prefer collection or local delivery. This works well for urgent tool changes, replacement collets, calibration items, and service parts. If you are collecting, we will let you know what paperwork or reference number to bring so the handover is quick.
Local delivery can also be arranged where practical, especially for repeat customers, service bookings, or heavier items that are awkward to collect in a bakkie. If your workshop is in an industrial area with strict access controls, please mention that upfront so we can plan around the site rules and receiving hours.
When goods need extra care
Some items need more than standard parcel handling. Precision holders, inspection equipment, scanners, and printing components can be sensitive to impact, dust, and moisture. Coastal humidity in Gqeberha and surrounding areas can also affect exposed metal if goods are left unwrapped for too long, so we pack carefully and advise customers to unpack items promptly on arrival.
If your order includes delicate measuring or calibration items, we may recommend a service note, protective packaging, or a particular courier method. That way the item arrives in a condition that supports accurate use from the start. On larger engineering orders, its worth checking whether the receiving team has suitable offloading equipment before dispatch.
- Fragile items are packed with added protection
- Moisture-sensitive equipment is sealed and labelled where needed
- Large or heavy consignments may need a receiving plan before shipping
Lead times, cut-off times, and urgent requirements
Lead times depend on what is in stock and what must still be sourced, assembled, or checked. If you need a tool holder set, chuck jaw machining support, presetting, or a scanner service item urgently, let us know as early as possible. We will then check the fastest practical route, whether that is collection, local delivery, or courier booking.
Orders placed late in the day may move on the next dispatch cycle, especially when load-shedding affects site operations or courier cut-off times are close. We will communicate clearly if a delay is likely. That helps machining teams plan production instead of waiting on guesswork.
Receiving your order and what to check on arrival
When your parcel arrives, inspect the outer packaging before signing if possible. If there is visible damage, note it with the courier or receiving clerk. Open the package soon after delivery and check the contents against your order so any issue can be reported without delay. This is especially important for precision tooling and scanner components where fit and condition matter.
If something does not look right, contact us straight away with the order reference, photos, and a short description of the concern. Our support team can then advise on the next step. For service items, it helps to keep all packaging until you have confirmed that everything is correct and working as expected.
