What working here looks like
Tooling is based in Struandale, Gqeberha and supports customers in Markman, Coega, Kariega, Despatch and the Port Elizabeth CBD, with service reaching machine shops across South Africa. Our work covers CNC tooling, 3D printing, scanning, inspection and workshop support, so the pace is hands-on and varied. People who do well here are organised, communicate clearly, and can keep to tight tolerances without cutting corners.
We value proper follow-through, neat paperwork, safe working practices and a practical approach to solving shop-floor problems. Some days are quiet and focused, other days mean coordinating collections, checking runout, or helping a customer get back into production after an unplanned stop.
Roles we hire for
We do not look for one type of person only. Depending on the team need, we may hire for sales, applications, service, support and specialised technical roles. Experience in machining, metrology, additive manufacturing or workshop coordination is useful, but attitude and reliability matter just as much.
- Sales and customer support in machining and tooling
- Applications and technical advice for CNC users
- Service coordination, collections and delivery planning
- 3D printing and scanner support
- Workshop work such as inspection, cleaning and basic setup assistance
Skills that help you fit in
We work with tooling, holders, collets, workholding, presetting, scanning and printer support, so it helps if you understand how precision equipment behaves in real workshops. A calm approach under pressure is important, especially when a customer has an urgent job or load-shedding has interrupted production.
- Good numeracy and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Willingness to learn different machines and processes
- Basic computer confidence for quoting and admin
- Respect for safety, measurements and deadlines
How to send your CV
Send your CV through our contact form with the subject line Careers. Add a short note telling us what kind of work you are looking for, where you are based, and any relevant experience. If you have workshop certificates, technical training or a portfolio of projects, include that too.
If you are applying for a technical or customer-facing role, mention which machines, systems or services you know best. That helps us match your experience to current needs and contact you if a suitable role opens up.
What we look for in applications
We prefer applications that are straightforward and complete. Tell us where you have worked, what your responsibilities were and which parts of the job you handled yourself. If you have experience with holder cleaning, runout checks, chuck jaw machining, vise alignment, scanner calibration or printer maintenance, say so clearly.
- Up-to-date CV with contact details
- Short cover note in the email body
- Copies of relevant certificates if available
- Notice period or when you can start
A workplace built around service
Our customers rely on us for practical support, whether they need tool inspection, presetting, collection and delivery, or advice that keeps production moving. That means the team must be dependable, respectful and ready to work with local manufacturing realities, including humidity, power interruptions and the pressure of municipal or plant schedules.
If you want to build a career in a business that serves real workshops and values precision, send through your CV. We keep details on file and contact candidates when a suitable position becomes available.
