Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the Tooling website and any enquiry, quotation, order or service arranged through it. By using this site you agree to comply with these terms and with applicable South African law.

1. Acceptance of these website terms

Tooling, based in Struandale, Gqeberha and serving machine shops nationwide, provides this website for general business use. The site is operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd on behalf of Tooling. If you browse the site, submit a form, request a quotation or send an email through our contact form, you are confirming that you have read and accepted these terms.

These terms apply to all visitors, customers, suppliers and other users. If you do not agree with any part of them, you must stop using the site. Tooling may update these terms from time to time and the latest version will apply from the date it is published.

2. Product information and technical guidance

Tooling supplies CNC machine accessories, tool holders, collets, workholding systems, 3D printing solutions and scanning equipment, together with related services such as tool regrinding, presetting, scanner calibration and printer maintenance. We work with customers in Struandale, Markman, Coega, Kariega, Despatch and the Port Elizabeth CBD, as well as other areas across South Africa.

All technical information on the website is provided for general guidance. Measurements, tolerances, compatibility notes and service descriptions should be checked against your machine, process and site requirements before purchase or installation. We take care to keep details accurate, but small changes in stock, specification or packaging may happen without notice.

3. Quotes, orders and pricing

Prices shown or quoted are subject to confirmation, availability and any applicable taxes, freight charges or special handling requirements. A quotation from Tooling is an invitation to place an order and does not bind us until it has been accepted in writing. Orders only become final once confirmed by Tooling and, where applicable, payment terms have been agreed.

  • All prices are in South African Rand unless stated otherwise.
  • Lead times may change because of stock, import delays, machine condition or service workload.
  • Customers are responsible for providing correct delivery addresses and contact details.
  • Collection and delivery services are arranged for convenience and may be limited by area, access or item size.

Where a customer requests collection from or delivery to a factory, workshop or site, the customer must ensure safe access and reasonable loading conditions. Any special municipal, site or gate requirements must be disclosed in advance.

4. Use of the website and user responsibilities

You may use the website only for lawful business purposes and in a way that does not damage, disrupt or misuse the site or its content. You must not interfere with security features, attempt unauthorised access or use the site to send false, harmful or misleading information. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit.

  • Do not copy, scrape or reuse content without written permission.
  • Do not upload files that contain malware, corrupted data or unlawful material.
  • Do not use the site to impersonate another person or business.
  • Keep your own systems secure when downloading documents or opening email attachments.

Any abuse of the site may result in access being restricted without notice.

5. Service conditions, inspections and warranties

Services such as tool inspection, holder cleaning, runout checks, chuck jaw machining, vise alignment, scanner calibration and printer maintenance are carried out with reasonable care and skill. However, results depend on the condition of the item received, correct installation, operator setup and the operating environment. Coastal humidity, dust, voltage fluctuation and load-shedding can affect machine performance and may influence wear or calibration stability.

Unless a written warranty says otherwise, Tooling provides products and services on an as is basis to the extent allowed by law. A warranty will not cover normal wear, incorrect use, improper fitting, unauthorised modification, poor storage, corrosion from moisture, or damage caused by unsuitable power supply or unsafe handling. If a product is returned, it must be clean, complete and properly packed, ek otherwise assessment may be delayed.

6. Liability, privacy and governing law

To the fullest extent allowed by South African law, Tooling and Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd will not be liable for indirect loss, lost production, loss of profit, delay, or damage arising from the use of this website, reliance on content, or failure of third-party systems. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount paid for the specific product or service in question, where such limitation is lawful.

Personal information submitted through the site will be used to respond to enquiries, process orders, arrange service and maintain customer records. We may keep records for legitimate business and legal purposes, including audit and warranty support. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and any dispute will be dealt with in a South African court with proper jurisdiction.
